Morning Pickup from Sharm El Sheikh
Your day starts with a hotel pickup.We will pick you up from your hotel around 5:30 AM (exact time will be confirmed after booking) followed by a drive across South Sinai towards St. Catherine. The precise pickup time will be confirmed based on your hotel’s location and our daily schedule.
Drive through South Sinai
Travel inland through the mountainous landscape of the Sinai Peninsula toward the St. Catherine area.
Along the way, we pause for about 15 minutes at a small shop where you can use the restroom, grab a coffee or snack, and receive some tips from the guide.
Visit St. Catherine’s Monastery
Once there, you will visit the renowned St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. During the guided tour, you will see:
- Visit the site traditionally associated with the biblical Burning Bush.
- Moses’ Well
- Ancient Byzantine icons and valuable religious artifacts
- The beautiful Basilica of the Transfiguration
Depending on the timing, you might also attend a mass or have the opportunity to talk with the monks who live there. If interested, you can visit the Icon Museum, which houses a significant collection of Christian icons.
Mount Sinai Area
See Mount Sinai, traditionally associated with Moses and the Ten Commandments. This daytime tour does not include the overnight climb to the summit.
Visit Dahab
After the visit, we head to Dahab, a coastal town where you will have time to have lunch and explore the local market.
Return to Sharm El Sheikh
In the afternoon, we return to Sharm el Sheikh, arriving back at the hotel around 4:00 PM.
