Luxor Day Trip from Sharm El Sheikh by Plane

The day begins early with a pickup from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh at 4:30 AM, right at the main gates. Our driver will take you to the airport for the 7:00 AM flight, which lasts about an hour.

Upon arrival in Luxor, an English-speaking Egyptologist guide will meet you and stay with you throughout the day, providing clear and engaging explanations of the history and mysteries of ancient Egypt.

First, we will visit the vast Karnak Temple, one of the largest temple complexes in the world. Highlights there include:

• The well-known Avenue of the Sphinxes
• The grand Hypostyle Hall featuring massive columns
• Obelisks and statues of the pharaohs
• The Sacred Lake
• The famous sacred scarab, connected to an old tale of good luck
• Lunch will be served at a local buffet-style restaurant, though drinks are not included.

Afterward, if you wish, you can take a boat trip on the Nile to visit the Banana Island, offering a peaceful and unique experience.

Next, we’ll cross the Nile by boat to the west bank, where the famous Colossi of Memnon await — two huge statues, each standing 18 meters tall and weighing over 700 tons.

The tour continues at the Temple of Hatshepsut, considered one of Egypt’s most beautiful temples. Built on terraces carved into the rock, this three-level structure features numerous carvings and sculptures that narrate the life of the powerful queen-pharaoh.

The final main stop is the Valley of the Kings, often called the City of the Dead, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried between the 16th and 11th centuries BCE. During this day trip from Sharm to Luxor, we will visit three royal tombs.

After the tour, we will return to Luxor airport for the flight back to Sharm El Sheikh, scheduled for around 8:00 PM. Upon arrival, our driver will take you back to your hotel.
